Why Intuition Sux.....

I hope you’re enjoying the extra videos coming out this week, I’m really enjoying bringing you the extra content!

Today's video comes from Bermuda!

Right now, I’m in preparation time for London and Dublin. (OK not really. I just have to pack my suitcase, which I live out of…) so, minor preparations. I’m more-so preparing how I am going to fit in the amount of things I want to do before I leave New York tomorrow!

I used to get stressed when I didn’t have a plan. I thought I was a flexible person, and so did the rest of the world. But in truth, my desire for control lead me to do outrageous things that others thought were quite flippant, and spontaneous, all in the name of having something to do. I was always on the hunt for the right answer, and distracted by where I thought my life “should” be going, based on my current circumstances.

In effect, letting go like this has given me more control than ever.

Now, I welcome and embrace change. I’ve changed the way I think about change. Change used to mean frustration, and inconvenience, and now, its the complete opposite.

This is because I learned to start trusting in myself, and my body, which is what this video is about today. But that’s not always easy!

In the last 3 days, my plans for the next few months have drastically changed. It would make sense for me to be stressed and upset about this, but when your decisions come from the right place, even if you don’t know where they will lead you, there’s a significant feeling of inner-calm that slices away the paranoia. It can be a hard-slog though, if you don’t know how to embrace this genuis tool.

Have a look at the video to see why intuition SUX, and keep your eyes peeled for Dunlop. The most gorgeous puppy I’ve ever met! Once you’re done, leave me a comment on the blog and tell me where the two places in your body are: right and wrong. The more specific you can get, the easier your task will be.

Have fun!

Today's topic is a tricky one. Now I actually talk about this topic with my clients and I teach about it to listen to your intuition or your gut at my workshops consistently because it's really really important and in fact, it's your highest intelligence. But my video today is all about why it totally sucks. And that's the truth it really, really does sometimes. Now that doesn't mean you shouldn't listen to it but this is more of a warning for you. You see intuition is intuition, it's not making sense of things it's not coming from the side of the brain that sorts things out logically and works it out and make sense of it, it makes no sense. It's nonsensical, it's intuition when you understand how to pay attention to your intuition, you don't have to think anymore.

It's amazing when your body speaks up, this is how you can just listen and move forward without ever having to think about or make sense of a workout a situation ever again. And in fact, intuition is one of the biggest players that helped me heal myself from the chronic fatigue after being in bed literally for two and a half years. But here's why it sucks sometimes when your intuition speaks up. It doesn't say what you want to hear. Sometimes your intuition makes no sense.

And what it's telling you to do is the scariest thing ever. That's why it sucks, but let me tell you something. Anytime you're having really tough time making a decision, it's usually because your intuition is saying one thing and your brain or your other half of your brain is telling you to do the complete opposite because it wants to make sense of the situation. Going with your intuition can sound really woowoo and out there, fluffy, but really, it's where your genius is, it's where your highest self is, it's where your highest genius is when you just pay attention to your body, you never have to think about things again. And the brilliant thing about that is that your mind, speaks from places of beliefs, negative emotions. It can be all kinds of drama that causes you to make decisions in your mind. Intuition speaks up always for your highest self.

So this is just a quick little video I guess I'm sending you a little reminder a little warning, and a little bit of an encouragement because if you're at the moment, at a little bit of a fork in the road and you're wanting to make the next decision, and your intuition maybe speaking up. My message is just listen up and go with it, you're not necessarily going to know what's around the corner. In fact, most of the time, the intuition will point you in a direction that has, it makes no sense. Like I said, but it also, you don't know what the next step is and you're not going to know until you jump off the first one, your foot has literally left the first one, then the next step will appear and you just have to trust it, that's what's gonna happen.

Early this year, my intuition spoke up and told me I needed to go on a little holiday by myself to Mexico and New York. Well, here I am in Bermuda, it's two months later, and I'm not going home for a very long time. I was so scared to leave the country by myself and go on this trip because I didn't think I could afford it, I wasn't sure what was out there for me, I was scared to leave my business behind bla bla bla bla bla, and it didn't make any sense, but as soon as I decided to do it, I knew it was the right decision for me.

When I was sick for two and a half years to chronic fatigue syndrome. I had a whole bunch of doctors telling me, 'You're not going to get better, you have to just deal with it. This is the medicine that you need to take and you need to be really careful from now on and stop pushing, pushing, pushing.' Now, my head was saying 'Hayley listen up to them because they're right because you're really tired and you've been really sick for a long time now,' but my intuition was saying, This doesn't make any sense to me. So, despite all the evidence that chronic fatigue can't be healed and you can't get better from an illness like that, here I am today, totally better, totally healed, more healthy than I've ever been in my life, all because I followed my gut.

Now, did I have someone there saying, if you follow your gut, you're going to get better. Absolutely not. I didn't, It made no sense for me to turn my back on all the doctors, but I did. And it wasn't from a place of ego, it was from my own self saying, Nope, this doesn't feel right to me and my body is speaking up, learning to pay attention to your own intuition is one of the smartest things you could ever do for your entire life.

Once you know how to listen to your body or your intuition, you never have to make a decision, or think about something, ever again, really. But again I will warn you, sometimes the answer is not what you want to hear and you just have to go with it and trust that everything is going to be okay because you're following your highest self, your highest level of genius, a part that transcends the brain and goes to your intuition. There's no other word for it.

So my challenge to you is for the next week, rather than paying attention to the pros and cons in your head or making sense of things in your head. I want to challenge you to make every single decision that you have to make based on your intuition. Now, if you don't know how to pay attention to your intuition. This is something I really deeply go into with my clients and the people who come to my workshops, I'll give you a really quick little rundown on how to do it now, and just see if you can practice it for the next week, that's going to be your home play.

So, close your eyes, just get in touch with your body and think about something that you know is totally, totally you. So right for you so on the path for you. What are you most passionate about, what lights you up, what makes you feel alive and amazing. When you think about that, where in your body, specifically, do you know that it's right.

For me personally, when something is right, it feels right in my stomach, and the more right it is, it feels like it's further into my stomach and wrapping around the back of my spine. That's how I can describe it.

Now, close your eyes and say out loud or think about something that you know is totally wrong and icky and makes you just feel gross. For me it's when I lie about something, I feel so disgusting. And I feel it in my chest, I feel really gross. And that's how I know that something's wrong for me. This is a very practical way to put something very unpractical into practice, I just want to remind you of that.

So for the next week. Your challenge is to pay attention to the signs your body's giving you, which is your intuition and make every decision that you have to make, like, what am I going to have for breakfast today or lunch today or what time should I call the person I need to call, I want you to make every decision from a place of intuition. So say the question out loud, perhaps even say the options of the answers out loud and see which one feels closest to what's right in your body.

The most important part of this activity is that you actually go with what your intuition is telling you to do. This is how you start practicing and building that muscle of listening to your body, again I'll warn you, on the big decisions, it can be a little bit scary but it's really easy to follow when you've got the practice.

So, your homework for this week is to make every single decision by your intuition, ask your body, listen to your body and just go with whatever it tells you, just for a week. So that's it for today I hope you enjoyed the video and I really hope you enjoyed my surroundings. Gorgeous.
