How to Get to the next Lifestyle Level as a High Achiever

My Secret for figuring out exactly what to do next, when you’re ready to change, but you don’t know how.

As a high achiever - there are always so many options you’re faced with. Your day can feel sometimes like you’re drinking out of a fire hose with the amount of decisions you are faced with, all of which can affect the way your life feels, and unfolds.

You already know what you want - but knowing the first thing to do to start, or make it happen - especially when it’s something you’ve never done or come close to before - can be a total head-spin.

For example:

You’ve got a job, you’re killing it, and you’re climbing the ladder, but you know in your heart of hearts it’s not for you in the end picture. You want to start your own business, online maybe, so you can move to a country house and enjoy a life of pleasure and a bit more down-time.

What do you even do to START if you don’t even know what kind of business you want to run?

Or say, you’re ready to take your performance to the next level in your sport. You have got the work ethic, you’re almost there, but there’s something stopping you - and you’re not sure what else to do to get the edge.

Where do you even start, when there are so many aspects to your training that you need to consider? Which one is going to make the difference?

Or, how about relationships: You’re ready to call in your soul mate. You’re done with meeting people who just don’t get you - and you aren't really sure if the real dreamboat even exists!

How do you make changes you know are going to affect an outcome happening, that you don’t really have control over?

I have a secret to share with you.

The answer won't come from someone who “knows the path”. Because this path is your path - nobody elses. There’s nobody on this planet who has your unique blend of skills, experiences and perspectives on the world. You are so unique and amazing. Truly!

This answer has to come from you - and I’m going to let you in on another little secret now too. It comes when you do the one thing I’m sharing in this video.

Hey welcome back! The ultimate dilemma for the high achiever is how to get to the next level whilst adding a little bit more to the lifestyle adding a little bit more to how I can do this better? Often you've tasted success before in whatever way and you know it's transferable but there's this dilemma. It's like how do I get from where I am now to the next level whilst adding in more fun, more time, more money, more health, more of something that feels aligned with the life that you truly want to live.

Whether it be within the corporate world making more money or whether it be in your business world growing doubling or tripling your business whether it be in a performance winning again or getting to the next level while having a lot more time in your day or a lot more rest or feeling healthier or feeling like you've developed a whole lot more skills to make the job a lot easier and having lifestyle on the side whatever it is be you.

Now, lot of people will come to me with this dilemma. Like you know do I have to choose new mentor? Do I need new skills?  Do I need to train more? Do I need to do more blog post?  Do I need to work harder? Do I need to move somewhere else and sell this stuff outside of us? My solution for “How to know what to do next?”  is really simple and you going to hate me for it. You’re welcome. Right.

It's put your lady balls, or your cojones is if you're a dude, on the line.

That's what's going to get you there. Not the next thing outside of you, not the next shiny object but doing the thing that you avoid. Here's why.  You've grown up with a set of conditioning, a set of conditioning that has gotten you to where you are and it's served you up until now and a set of conditioning that absolutely will not serve you going from where you are now to where you want to go and so it's about unlearning everything that you know and stepping into a new level of comfort zone. Not by pushing yourself. You're really good at that! Not by doing the most or being the best you're already really good at that! But by doing the thing that you as an individual as a high performer what you avoid.

This is going to help you overcome the conditioning, the labeling, the fears, the emotions, the beliefs, everything all of the programming that you've held up until now that is stopping you from really getting to that next level that next level that I know that you want. Now everyone else might look at you with a little bit of admiration.. Yeah you've really got your shit together but I know that you want something more. And the way to do it is to do the things that you avoid. So here's it here's my homework for you. I want you to make a list of everything that you avoid. And I mean everything. It doesn't have to be something to do with work specifically or to do with your sport or to do with the thing that you're wanting to achieve next.

It could literally be a list like this.
I avoid talking to my boss.
I avoid talking to my in-laws.
I avoid doing the washing up after dinner.
I avoid looking at my finances.
I avoid stretching after training.
I avoid training altogether.
I avoid looking at my statistics on my web site.
I avoid talking to my coach about the things that I can improve.

I want you to make a list of all the things that you specifically avoid and when you do. I want you to then go through that list and systematically just swipe through them swipe through them. Cross them off do them one at a time. What this does is it makes you someone with resolve to do the things that you were once unwilling to do so that you get to live a life that most people are actually unwilling to live. And I know that that's what you want you're looking to get where there's no traffic in that extra mile.

So do the things that you avoid.

I did this with a client recently and he wrote down a list of some of the most hilarious things that he avoids doing just like doing the washing and folding it up and talking to his in-laws when they're in a bad mood or something like that. And he systematically just sort of going through this list and what he found was that he became unafraid to promote himself because this was the thing that he was avoiding doing or fearful of doing because he had a belief that putting himself out there was unsafe for some reason.

Now.  It does something magical when you start becoming that person with resolve and becoming fearless to do the things that you avoid because all of a sudden the big rocks that you avoid start becoming easier as well and you develop a new consciousness of being the type of person who just gets in and does it and has nothing stopping them. So put your lady balls on the line do, things that you avoid and watch what happens you will start to ask yourself what else is possible for me? And you'll start going for the things that you've always really wanted to do. Thank you so much for watching.
