5 Top Habits to have you bouncing outta bed every morning
I am a firm believer that every minute counts. Not because I want to slam as much as I possibly can into every day and shout it from the rooftops like Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy… because I believe the more efficiently I can utilise, and maximise my time and effort, the more leveraged time I have for freedom and flow.
And, because I love to feel alive. I’m sure you do too.
Rather than waking up in the morning and slugging groggily out of bed to get to another groundhog day, setting yourself up for success is built upon habit. And with only 2 hours of willpower every day to start with (Did you know that?!We have 2 hours of willpower available to us every single day, and then it’s gone!) I’d prefer to use my willpower to set myself up with good habits, so I know I’m utilising my energy in a way that will propel me forward, rather than just get me through the day.
These Top 5 aren't the only 5 habits you can set yourself up with, but you these are habits you can start with - and I promise they will make a difference to the way you start your day - and how you show up through
As always, Stay Curious, Stay Open. You are the Omega.

Hi Welcome back, Hayley here.
Today I have 5 insanely cool peak performance secrets to share with you of top performers that will have you, if you do them, jumping out of bed in the morning, every single day.
Absolutely no denial, right. So I’m really excited to share these with you.
And Here’s why…
Too often I speak with people and I speak with clients who don’t have themselves set up for success in a way that says ‘hey, you know I’ve got rituals in place that make me feel empowered, that make me feel aligned, that remind me of who I am and what I’m doing, that help me close up one section of a day to begin another, and that really help me get my energy going and my body pumping through the day to help me be in the best state for creativity, for answering questions and solving problems and being in a good mood to generally deal with people.
So these 5 tools are super important and they’re really going to help you.
Ok so let’s just dive right in.
The first one’s really simple, and it’s:
Make your bed
When you get up in the morning, you’re done with sleep. It closes of your sleeping section of the day and it helps you to have a sense of closure on that, but also sets yourself up to feel successful in the morning because when you come back to your bed it doesn’t feel like you have got old energy that’s stagnant there from the night before when you come back in the evening, and it’s a really top thing that all peak performers really, really do in the morning – they make their bed.
Number 2 is
Gratitude
So, every single day, practice being grateful for what you have, allow yourself to have what you have, and feel good about what you have. Now I have got other videos on gratitude and how to get yourself out of a negative state with that, and my suggestion is to write down why your grateful for each thing. And you can do gratitude many times throughout the day, but if you start of your day feeling grateful, you will bring your mind – especially if you’re one of those people like me who wakes up and is all drowsy in the morning – it will bring your mind straight back to the here and now and in this moment. Gratitude – the attitude of gratitude – you can’t feel negative, you can’t feel tired, you can’t feel like you can’t learn or be open in a state of gratitude because it brings you into an expanded state of awareness.
So gratitude is an amazing tool, not only for your happiness, but for your energy levels to start pumping up and bringing them up in the morning.
Tip number 3 is to…
Set your intention for the day
Now many different people do this in many different ways. It could just be for you – I’d like you to individualise this, right – it could just be that you – an intention is a touch point that you can come back to at any point through the day, so it might be just remember to breathe, it might be to be present, because it’s something that no matter what you’re doing you can come back and say “ok I can do that right now”, it’s not a goal.
But what I’m referring to with this particular step – number 3 – is that you set up yourself to give yourself direction and focus for the day. So maybe for you setting an intention doesn’t quite hit the mark, perhaps for you it’s reading your goals, perhaps for you it’s looking at your vision board or adding to your vision board or even just asking yourself “ok what was I going to do today, how do I want to feel at the end of the day”, “what will make me really proud to have accomplished”, or perhaps it’s just to spend a little bit of time visualising yourself having what you want, not just at the end of the day, although that’s a really great idea, but having your ultimate dream.
Tip number 4 is actually something to do with the night before, and that is at the end of the day closing off
zenning the space and setting yourself up for the next day
so you wake up know exactly what it is that you want to do, be, create, make, have, say, whatever, before the day begins, so that once you’re finished your morning ritual of whatever type that is – you step out of bed, you’ve made your bed, you’re feeling great, you’ve got some energy in your body and you know exactly what you have got to do when you step into your office or into your work, it’s a really really brilliant tip.
And the fifth and final one is
To move your tush
When you get up in the morning it doesn’t have to be that you have to do hard core exercise first thing, that might not be your thing but moving your tush is super important to get the blood pumping in your body. So you might want to do 10 star jumps or you might just want to do some really gentle yoga moves on the floor, stretching all the way up and all the way down to just get things flowing and moving. Or perhaps for you its having a yummy glass of lemon water and then going outside and going for a little walk in the garden or around the block, it really doesn’t matter.
So you can take these tools and make them your own, you can really really enhance your day when you practice them and it will help you get into a state of positivity, energy, alignment, focus, discipline and the best thing about these tips is when you use them all together they build upon one and other become a snowball. They have this huge exponential affect on your life over time using them.
I am going to give you one more bonus tip and that is meditation. Meditation is something that I practice twice a day but it might not be something that helps you set up your day, it might be something that you do instead of having a coffee at 2.30 or 3.00pm when you sugar cravings kick in, so you can re-calibrate your creative energy and get yourself into a great state to have the next few hours of the evening where you feel amazing as if you have just woken up.
I really hope you enjoy these tips today, these are things that I personally use every single day and I am super passionate about sharing them with my clients. If you know anybody who would really benefit from getting a little bit of zazz in the morning please feel free to share this video and if you like it then please like it.
And now I have a dare for you, write me a comment below (I dare you) and let me know which one of these you love the most and you are going to implement tomorrow. Maybe it is one of them or maybe it is all of them, I would love for you to say that it is going to be all of them.
Thank you so much for watching
