What Surfing has Taught me about Life - Part 3

….When Comparison Strikes

Hayley Carr - Life Coach - When the comparison virus strikes

Welcome to Part 3 of my 3 part series - Lessons from the Wave: What Surfing has Taught me about life.

Make sure you also check out What Surfing has Taught me about Life - Part 1 & What Surfing has Taught me about Life - Part 2

This Lesson is a Doozey, and SO relevant to your life away from waves, dirt, ramps, snowfields, boats, bikes and other sporting terrains. Its about living life on your terms. Again, the metaphor runs ripe here, and I say this all the time.

How you do one thing, is how you do everything, sweetcheeks.

This is one of my favourite topics to speak about too, because Comparison is the key to unhappiness, the lever to switching on the self love muscle, and the mother of all reasons why we are time, health and money poor. And we live in a society where its bred every moment through marketing and advertising. So check out the video and learn the secret to riding your own wave, dude. (haha. surfer terms, y'know).

Don’t spend time in your head comparing yourself to others or feel bad about where you are; get comfortable with catching your own wave, the wave intended for you.

When you see people close to you that have what you desire, rather than judging and comparing, which is only putting yourself down, get excited. Take this as a sign from the universe that what you desire is possible.

Check it out! Leave me a comment below here love, and tell me what you did to immunise yourself from Comparisonfluenza. What's the wave your riding? How did sending out the good vibes and gratitude change your day?

I love hearing all feedback and comments, so please do go ahead, and if you like this video, please share the free love with your buddies.

Stay Curious, Stay open. The life you crave is so much closer than you think.

Love,

Hayley xoxo
