Until you Start Travelling.

Until you start travelling, you will never truly know the freedom that comes from being totally alone.

Until you start travelling, you will not experience the level of gratitude that is available to you for having the comfort of a warm, consistent bed. A hot shower with water pressure that actually cleans you. Clean, wholesome food available at the end of your street. Family close by. A car. Money. Your own bedroom.

Until you start travelling, you may not care much for wine. Or Classical music. Waterfalls, photographs, or old, smelly buildings.

Until you start travelling, you may never appreciate just how resourceful you can be without a hairdryer. Or a closet full of clothes. Or you car, your house, your “job”, your wifi connection.

Until you start travelling, you may still believe happiness comes from the things outside of yourself. And home is where your house is. You may never truly experience the happiness that comes from leaving an entire world behind.

Until you start travelling, missing a train is annoying. Not an opportunity to people-watch, ponder, and relax.

Until you start travelling, going out alone is for people with no friends. Not for making new ones.

Until you start travelling, you may never understand just how much choice you have in your life. Or how much meaning you have placed on the things you grew up believing.

Until you start travelling, the rest of the world is dangerous. And “there’s nothing out there that you can’t get here”.

Until you start travelling, you will never experience the perspective that comes from seeing a child who plays with rocks, look at an iPhone for the first time. And not care one bit.

Until you start travelling, you may never appreciate the simplicity of fresh air. And what a privilege it is.

Until you start travelling, you may think that your life purpose is exactly what your parents have told you it is.

Until you start travelling, you will not understand the exhilaration that is fuelled by getting completely, utterly, blissfully lost. And soulfully, solidly, beautifully finding yourself.

Until you start travelling, you will care a lot more than you need to, about what people think of you.

Until you start travelling, it’s ok to let things go until tomorrow. There's no rush to get started on your dreams.

Until you start travelling, you will never know how little you know.

Until you start travelling.

Until you start travelling, remember:

You are never alone.

Your life is a choice.

You are a lucky person.

Life is very, very precious.

And you can change anything, whenever you choose.

Stay Curious, Stay open. The life you crave is so much closer than you think.

Love,
